Oregon dunes are the most beautiful hills of sand in American. They are also called as American Sahara. The total length of Oregon dunes is 40 miles and 500 feet above sea level. The rivers, lakes, streams and forest add to the beauty of Oregon campground dunes.
Camping in Oregon dunes is the most enjoyable trip. There are three areas where dune camping can be the most enjoyable. Florence sand dunes are the first camping areas. In Florence dunes there camping sites one is driftwood II and other one is Honeyman state park. In driftwood there are off highway vehicle slots. Honeyman is situated near ocean. It also presents two freshwater lakes. Near ocean Oregon Coast Bed and Breakfast can also be found.
The second camping area in Oregon dunes is Winchester bay. It is toward the south of Florence sand dunes. Discovery Point Resort is the major camping area here. This resort offers RV slots. Discovery Point Resort is near to Umpqua light house.
The third recreational area is at the southern part of Oregon and it is called as Coos Bay dunes. Many Oregon campgrounds can be found in Coos Bay. The largest areas fro camping are Horsfall Beach OHV, Hauser Overflow OVH, Oregon Dunes KOA and Spinreel OHV.
Horsfall beach is at the short proximity to North Bend. It offers OHV and automobile sites. Labor Day weekend, Fourth of July and memorial weekends are celebrated in Hauser Overflow OVH. Spinreel OVH offers auto, trailer and campsites.
